Circular Economy–Based Development Project at Rapla Metall OÜ
Rapla Metall OÜ is implementing the development project “Implementation of a Circular Economy–Based Business Model for Restoring Packaging Balers at Rapla Metall OÜ”, funded by the European Union Recovery Instrument NextGenerationEU.
The objective of the project is to integrate circular economy principles into the company’s operations by restoring and reintroducing used packaging balers into circulation. By 2026, the goal is to restore at least 20 units, thereby reducing material consumption and CO₂ footprint. The restored balers will offer customers an environmentally friendly and cost-effective alternative to new equipment.

With the help of the grant:
- a system for buying back and restoring used equipment will be created,
- the company’s green capability and competitive advantage will be increased,
- sustainable manufacturing and environmental objectives will be supported.
