Amal 10 MW boiler plant
Description
As part of the project, Tamult produced part of the technological equipment for the boiler plant and carried out the installation of all the technology on site. The works included a complete upgrade of the fuel handling and mechanical technology and the integration of new solutions into the existing system.
Fuel handling is handled by two separate fuel storage tanks, each with a capacity of 350 m³, from which the fuel is moved by scraper conveyors for feeding. The existing installation with two 4 MW boilers had become technically obsolete. During the project, a new 10 MW boiler was installed to cover the base load for district heating in Åmål and one of the existing 4 MW boilers was left as a stand-by boiler.
For the project, Tamult manufactured skips, air and flue ducts, fuel and ash conveyors, a hydraulic fuel feeder and a movable floor for the fuel storage.
