Flue Gas Cleaning System for the Wood Chip Boilers of the Stora Enso Imavere Sawmill Boiler Houses
Description
We designed, supplied, and installed as a turnkey solution multicyclones and electrostatic precipitators (IS SaveEnergy) for flue gas cleaning of the 2 × 8 MW and 10 MW wood chip boilers of two boiler houses at the Stora Enso Imavere sawmill, including the reconstruction of flue gas ducts, replacement of flue gas fans, and upgrading of the ash removal system. We also relocated the hot water piping between the two boiler houses to enable the installation of the filters.
All critical works requiring shutdowns were carried out during the boiler houses’ regular maintenance outages to ensure uninterrupted operation of the sawmill.
For the project, we manufactured multicyclones, flue gas ducts, dry ash screw conveyors, ash containers, a wet ash conveyor, and various steel structures.
