Installation of the Second Stage Flue Gas Condenser at Utilitas Mustamäe CHP Plant
Description
As part of this project, we installed the second-stage flue gas condenser at Utilitas’ combined heat and power plant located in Mustamäe, Tallinn.
To carry out the installation, a minimal section of the boiler house wall and the existing flue gas duct together with the fan were dismantled. The 26-ton condenser was then lifted into place using two cranes, utilising an opening in the building’s wall and two small smoke extraction hatches in the roof.
After the condenser was installed, the flue gas fan was reinstalled and the flue gas ducts were reconnected.
