Reconstruction of the Kolga-Jaani Boiler House
Description
The client’s design brief was the reconstruction of the boiler house in the Kolga-Jaani district heating area into a modern automatic biofuel boiler house. The existing boiler house was worn out, and the old boiler house equipment together with the floors was dismantled.
In principle, the boiler house is divided into two parts – the boiler room and the fuel storage with the hydraulic room. Within the scope of this project, a new biofuel boiler unit Kalvis 720M-1 with a nominal capacity of 0.72 MW was installed in the boiler house. An oil-fired boiler Unical Trioprex N 840 is used as a reserve and emergency boiler. The type of biofuel used is wood chips of class P63, M50. The heat pipeline of the designed biofuel boiler house was connected to the existing district heating network pipeline of Kolga-Jaani. The content and objective of the work was to design an automatic biofuel boiler house operating without continuous human presence (unmanned).
