Design and construction of the Väimela 0.85 MW boiler house
Description
Tamult designed, manufactured, and installed a turnkey biomass boiler house in Väimela for Danpower Eesti AS, taking into account limited site conditions and the requirement to integrate the facility between existing buildings. As part of the project, the existing boiler house was reconstructed and a compact extension was built, including fuel reception, storage, and feeding systems.
The boiler house is equipped with a Tamult biomass furnace and boiler with a nominal thermal output of 0.85 MW (at 55% fuel moisture content), operating automatically within a 30–100% load range. Fuel is received directly from trucks without the need for additional handling equipment, and the 210 m³ fuel storage is fitted with a hydraulically driven scraper floor system, ensuring consistent and reliable fuel feeding.
The boiler house is designed to operate with various types of biomass fuels and is equipped with automatic ash removal and a multi-cyclone flue gas cleaning system. The result is a compact, reliable, and efficient boiler house that complies with all applicable regulations and meets the client’s expectations even under challenging spatial
