Cesis (Latvia) 0.85 MW boiler house design and construction
Description
According to the Client’s requirements and needs, we designed, manufactured, and installed the technological part of a fully automatic biofuel-fired boiler house as a turnkey solution, from fuel reception to ash removal. The boiler house heat output is 850 kW at 55% fuel moisture (nominal heat output 980 kW).
The maximum operating pressure of the hot-water boiler is PS = 6 bar, and the maximum allowed operating temperature is TS = 110 °C.
The fuel reception capacity is >180 m³/h, and the fuel storage volume is 270 pm³.
The biofuel boiler is connected to a common district heating network together with a gas-fired peak-load boiler house. We also implemented cascade control between the two boiler houses.
The new biofuel boiler is designed to operate at least 8,240 hours per year within a power range of 30–100% of its nominal output. The non-heating period is intended for regular maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
