Description

A new biomass-fired boiler plant was built next to the existing silicate brick building. The new boiler plant consists of two volumes: a smaller part housing the boiler room and a larger part serving as the biomass fuel storage. Both sections have a single-slope low-pitch roof. A ash container is located at the end of the boiler house, and a stainless-steel pre-insulated metal chimney is installed on the side. The building contains three rooms: the fuel storage, separated from the hydraulics room by a partially open partition (open at the top and bottom), and the boiler room.

The boiler room is equipped with one biomass boiler with a capacity of Nbio = 950 kW and one oil boiler (for reserve and emergency operation). Biomass is unloaded from the vehicle into a receiving pit, from where it is transported via screw conveyors to the storage and then further to the feed auger by rakes; from there, the fuel is supplied to the boiler. Ash removal is automatic, and the ash is collected in a container located at the end of the boiler house. A pre-insulated stainless-steel modular chimney with a height of 18 m is installed for the biomass boiler, and a 9 m chimney is installed for the oil boiler.

• The maximum allowable operating temperature of the boiler is at least 105°C and the operating pressure at least 4 bar.
